Non Statutory Plans and Development Briefs
Non-Statutory Plans
An Area Action Plan is a non-statutory plan setting out a detailed framework strategy focussing on land use, movement, urban design, and a strong emphasis on implementation, where it is envisaged that the Council will have a driving role.
A Development Brief is a guidance document for the regeneration and renewal of relatively compact neighbourhoods or areas, primarily for the benefit of landowners / developers. The brief outlines principles in relation to land-uses, movement, site layout and design.
Area Action Plans
The following Area Action Plans are adopted:
- Cornmarket Street Area Action Plan 2005
- Blackrock Village Area Action Plan 2006
- Bishopstown and Wilton Area Action Plan 2007
- Coburg Street and Saint Patrick’s Hill Area Action Plan 2009
- South Parish Area Action Plan 2010
