Cork Artists’ Collective is the longest running artist-led initiative in the country with nearly 100 artists having passed though its doors since 1985. Currently there are 10 artists who collectively and individually initiate innovative projects like Sonic Vigil, the Lightbox shows in Tom Barry’s as well as exchanges and forums in their GuestHouse Space in Shandon. Come join us to view the artist’s studios and a lecture on the Histories of the Collective.

An exhibition titled Paw Marks by Mark Flynn winner of the National Sculpture Factory’s Graduate of the Year Award for 2008 will open at 7.30 pm. It is a culmination of the work created on his 6-month residency and is a series of ‘props’ for a mythical film where the central character strives to define the role in which he has been cast, centred around a large sculptural monolith which catalyses the main protagonist into action.
